Team Highlight: Gallant

History

Gallant was first introduced during Tomb of Sargeras as a heroic team, however that label didn’t really fit as Gallant has ventured into mythic every tier since their inception.

At only 4 hours a week, Gallant has a casual and relaxed atmosphere. They are capable of pushing further progression, but choose to keep things fun and light instead. They don’t actively enforce attendance and like to keep an open door policy so players can leave to pursue other goals and return to the team later. This has allowed Gallant to acquire a very large circle of friends and a nearly unlimited bench.

Team Highlight: Kismet

History

Kismet is a one-night heroic weekend team. They were formed in the final months of Nighthold with two main goals. The first was to be a transitional heroic-to-mythic team. The second was to be a recruitment team, utilizing the group finder to bring in new applicants to the guild. While great on paper, the team could not sustain a happy and healthy environment under those conditions, and eventually opted to change their focus to Heroic AotC.

They’ve brought in old friends, made new ones, and met their goal of AotC every tier since Tomb of Sargeras. With heroic progression completed and plenty of time before the next raid tier, Kismet has dabbled in mythic content, killing bosses from every major BFA raid.

Team Highlight: Immortal

History

Immortal has risen from the ashes twice, each new iteration seeking to push farther and faster than the one before it. Their logo pays homage to their lineage which begins with the name, Phoenix.

The exact history for Phoenix is unfortunately lost, however we do know they raided during Warlords – Hellfire Citadel as well as Legion – Emerald Nightmare. It was in Nighthold that Phoenix was reborn as team Imperium.

Imperium progressed through the rest of the Legion expansion and slowly began shifting their goals from mythic progression to Cutting Edge. They added a day to their roster and started taking progression more seriously. At the end of Legion, Imperium was reborn a second time, this time as Immortal.

Immortal fully embraced the challenge of reaching their new goal. They earned Cutting Edge BoD and Ny’alotha, killing Mythic Jaina and Mythic N’Zoth respectively.

Achievements

Team Highlight: Harbinger

History

Harbinger is the longest running heroic team in the guild. They started raiding at the beginning of Legion and have successfully met their goal of full-clearing heroic difficulty every raid tier (including mini raids).

For a team that’s been raiding for such a long time, you wouldn’t expect to find many original members on the roster, but Harbinger still has several: Cosmoso, Darayah, Erementha, Fivelo, Geyigi, and Tahldar.

That’s 10 AotCs, 6 original members, and 4 years of raiding, all spanning 2 expansions! Add in a few Mythic Antorus boss kills for fun, a constant reminder that you can in fact put a healer in the pod on High Command, and it all adds up to one solid raid team.

Progression Achievements

Legion: Emerald Nightmare 7/7H, Trial of Valor 3/3H, Nighthold 10/10H, Tomb of Sargeras 9/9H, Antorus 12/12H

BFA: Uldir 8/8H, Battle of Dazar’alor 9/9H, Crucible of Storms 2/2H, Eternal Palace 8/8H, Ny’alotha 12/12H

Titan Retires

Titan was reformed from a heroic team to a training team at the beginning of Legion. They earned AotC every tier for two full expansions which is an accomplishment all to its own.

But their most impressive accomplishment is the number of raiders that have the knowledge and confidence to raid because of the training they received while on Titan. Many of these players came from very limited or no raiding experience at all. Some were returning players that had to relearn how to play the game after a long break. Others were players looking to learn a new class/role. In any case, if the roster wasn’t already full, no player was turned away who earnestly wanted to learn and genuinely needed the training.

Pantheon Retires

Pantheon’s story traces back to the beginning of Legion to a team called Eidolon. This new team tore through Mythic Xavius earning Cutting Edge Emerald Nightmare, but quick success could not save them from the roster boss in Nighthold. With the help of a guild merger, the newly reformed team finished the tier with 5/10M.

Going into Tomb, the team opted to change their name to Enigma in an effort to move on and grow its own identity. Unfortunately, this new team fell apart before it really began, and they reformed again just after getting AOTC, this time under the name of Pantheon.

Pantheon struggled to find its footing, but they eventually became a fun and successful team. After 4/9M Tomb, 9/11M Antorus, and 6/8M Uldir, they finally rebuilt to Cutting Edge, killing Mythic Jaina in BoD. In Eternal Palace, leadership chose to retire the team mid-tier, releasing their players to join other teams in the guild and beyond.

Their final kill together – Mythic Ashvane 4/8M.

Valkyrie Retires

Valkyrie first began as an alliance team in Legion – Nighthold under the name of Umbra. This new team had some close calls during their first tier, killing Krosus at the very last second and Spellblade with paladin bubble (videos below NSFW). They finished their first tier with an impressive 8/10 Mythic.

They continued their success through the rest of the expansion with 8/9 Mythic Tomb of Sargeras and 11/12 Mythic Antorus, The Burning Throne. They were a strong team that liked to have a good time and have a few laughs while getting things done. (Videos below NSFW)

Destiny Retires

Destiny joined the guild under the name of Dreadnought back in Hellfire Citadel during Warlords of Draenor. They had already started Mythic Progression, making Mythic Gorefiend their first progression kill as members of Eternal Kingdom. This weekend team went on to clear HFC and begin their journey through the Legion expansion.

Mythic Gorefiend

Through the next three tiers, Dreadnought maintained a fairly even progression clearing 4/7M Emerald Nightmare, 4/10M Nighthold, and 5/9M Tomb of Sargeras. In Antorus, they pushed hard and completed 9/11 killing Mythic Coven of Sivara.

Going into BFA, it was obvious Dreadnought had evolved during the last few tiers and the team leadership wanted to reflect that in a new name. Team Destiny was ready to raid and they pushed hard killing 7/8 Mythic bosses in Uldir.
