Ascension Waves Farewell to Sheepless

Last week, Sheepless stepped down as Team Leader of Ascension in order to chase new goals and aspirations in his career. We made many great memories with him at the helm, and he will be missed.

Back in January of this year, Ascension was left in a leaderless state. Sheepless and myself picked up the pieces and reformed Ascension with the members who remained, and, after a rocky start, managed to cobble together enough members to get back into Mythic in Nighthold. We are now generating momentum in Mythic Tomb of Sargeras because of the hard work and dedication he put into the team. Without him, the raid team likely would have fallen apart, and we would have lost an amazingly fun group of folks who have stayed committed to the team. Eternal Kingdom would also not have the new members that the team has brought in to raid with us.

In short, I think I speak for all of Ascension by saying, “Thank you, Sheep!” We all wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for you on Discord to chat once more.

Zate: Thanks to Sheepless to all he did and thanks to Flitt and others for keeping it going! Sheepless don't be a stranger I am sure Ascension will be killing bosses long into the future make sure you come back and say hi from time to time :)

Daraya: Best of luck Sheepie!!! Im gonna miss you tons!

Leayha: Best of luck in your new endeavours, Sheep! Thanks for all of the support you gave not only your team but the entire EK community.

Eternal Kingdom Raises Over $3,000 for Victims of Hurricane Harvey+Other Storms, Runs 250+ Keys

Hi Eternal Kingdom! I sent out a brief msg yesterday at the conclusion of our event, but now that I’ve slept I have a bit more to say. 😛 A lot of this is sap because I’m so incredibly grateful, a bit of this is the prizes for carriers, but my favorite part of this is looking forward toward to the next fundraiser and how you can get involved organizing/carrying. Please stay for the ride!

First of all, great job everyone. Seriously, pat yourself on the back, call your grandma and tell her, treat yo self, whatever it is you do for yourself when you’ve done a great thing. Nothing on this planet forces us to do nice things for each other, so when we can band together and help rather than hurt, I think we’re succeeding as a species, as a planet, for sure. So good job. This is something to really be proud of, doing good for no reason.

Daraya: It was a pleasure to bring my little grain of salt into this. It was an exciting and a wonderful thing to be part of, I am super happy to be part of this community that supports the "human side" of gaming. Can't wait for the next one to start. Gaming of a cause! <3

ILM: Yay, everyone! So much hard work was put in for this event, and LOOK HOW MUCH WE RAISED! It was, as Inri said, not just the carriers, but especially those behind the scenes, in leadership, those who did technical work, those who gave input, and everyone who spent time working to make this event go smoothly. People put in a ton of hours, and I'm so impressed! This was a really fun event for me personally, just in terms of running keys as a carrier and getting to play with friends and help people get their keys done. Even my Dad, who says "you gotta stop playing that stupid video game" (lol) donated some money to me and I passed it along in my donation to Direct Relief. We can change minds people! Even grumpy, but loving, old men. :)

Xariona: Yay us!! Good job all! And amazing work to all organizer for this event!
