Ascension Waves Farewell to Sheepless

Last week, Sheepless stepped down as Team Leader of Ascension in order to chase new goals and aspirations in his career. We made many great memories with him at the helm, and he will be missed.

Back in January of this year, Ascension was left in a leaderless state. Sheepless and myself picked up the pieces and reformed Ascension with the members who remained, and, after a rocky start, managed to cobble together enough members to get back into Mythic in Nighthold. We are now generating momentum in Mythic Tomb of Sargeras because of the hard work and dedication he put into the team. Without him, the raid team likely would have fallen apart, and we would have lost an amazingly fun group of folks who have stayed committed to the team. Eternal Kingdom would also not have the new members that the team has brought in to raid with us.

In short, I think I speak for all of Ascension by saying, “Thank you, Sheep!” We all wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for you on Discord to chat once more.

Introducing Team Kismet!

The word kismet is Turkish for fate, fortune, or destiny. We are breaking into new territory with this team. It will be a hybrid team which will have core raiders wanting to progress heroic while bringing in new people each week that want to possibly raid at a higher level.

Welcome Team Umbra! Now Recruiting

Through skill, ironclad determination, and maybe a little luck, Team Umbra destroyed Heroic Nighthold, downing 9 out of 10 bosses within the second day of its formation. There were hiccups along the way (I swear parasitic fetter on Botanist was designed to make people rage), and interesting strategies were used (melee doing the ranged mechanics on Elisande), Umbra powered through and established itself this week as a team not to be underestimated.

If you’re interested in joining us, add Timmeehh on Battletag (chilipants#1208) or submit an application.

PS: Why the name Umbra?  Umbra is the darkest part of a shadow, and we’re a late night team, so it seems fitting.

The Raid Academy Is Opening!

Raid Academy

The Raid Academy is opening! Raidsense.com is hosting their very first Raid Academy on Saturday, October 29th at 9:30pm PST. This first Raid Academy is reserved primarily for Eternal Kingdom community members, but will open up to the public should the run not fill.

In short the Raid Academy is a raid program hosted by competitive raiders, primarily the Champion Team (US 17) from Eternal Kingdom, designed to bridge the entry way into raiding for those who may be a bit intimidated by raiding. We provide a judgement free learning zone. We will evaluate each individual and pair them with a mentor of their class for a raid, where they will get hands on coaching (you playing your character along side your mentor playing their character). Whether you just want to learn how to play your class better, or you want to experience raiding for the first time, you are welcome to partake in this.
